UCIE - UNESCO Centre for International Education
Painting Exhibition in Japan
The Tsunami earthquake on 03 November 2012 in Japan has gone through, but the damage has still left up to present. Many people lost their homes and many children could not find their dearest ones. This seemingly endless pain is needed to be overcome. Japan as well as the whole world promised to cooperate closely to be successful in this battle.
In 2012, the UNESCO Machida Sagami (Tokyo, Japan) held an international children’s painting exhibition to support orphans who were suffered from the Tsunami earthquake. Our ID International Education JSC,. was much honored to collaborate with Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Association to contribute the program and ease children’s pain. The program launched in Hanoi, Viet Nam got enthusiastic participation and response from organizations and individuals. More than 10 paintings selected from the art works of the pupils in Nguyen Viet Xuan School have been sent to the exhibition, including art works of the orphans and children of difficult families in Viet Nam. In these paintings, the deep love and care for Japanese children were displayed thoroughly.
The selected art works will be exhibited at galleries and hospitals in Machida and Sagamihara city or in the festival in Fuchinobe, Japan from June to October, 2012.
After the exhibition, those art works will be made into calendar books.
